This year as well NIS has supported the celebration of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, held in the period of 22 – 27 August in Novi Becej. On this occasion the Feast of the Assumption is held for the jubilee 20th time and the visitors are offered a rich entertainment programme. Traditionally, NIS supports this manifestation as a part of its corporate programme to provide support to local community development. The Project “Velikogospojinski dani” has been chosen in the Public Competition that NIS publicized under slogan “Together for the Community”, aimed at supporting projects in the area of sport, culture, environmental protection, science and humanitarian activity in cities and municipalities where NIS has its business activities. During the Feast in Novi Becej, in cooperation with the Serbian Tennis Association NIS has prepared some activities for the youngest visitors. On Saturday afternoon the NIS Open School of Tennis was held, where with music the children aged 6 to 10 were offered a chance to play tennis for free and get to learn the first steps of the white sport with assistance of professional trainers. The NIS Open School of Tennis has been organized in Cacak and Nis, and after New Becej other cities throughout Serbia will be visited too: Zrenjanin, Kikinda, Belgrade, Novi Sad and Pancevo.
