NIS received today the business excellence "Oscar of Quality" award for the exceptional results it has had in improving and developing the quality and business excellence in Serbia and the region. The Company is the absolute winner in its category – large organizations. The award was bestowed by the Foundation for the Culture of Quality and Excellence, in collaboration with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, and with the support of the Ministry of Economy, on the occasion of the World Quality Day which is marked today. The national award for business excellence "Oscar of Quality" is bestowed upon organizations as an independent and neutral award for top results attained in the development and improving of organizational and business excellence, the award explanation says. As the organizer of the "Oscar for Excellence" points out, the award represents a strong motivational factor on the road to business excellence of organizations, and an incitement to the development of the overall climate for quality improvement; it is bestowed with the support of state institutions and business associations, which are engaged in monitoring and stimulating quality improvement in Serbia and the region as part of their activities. The award was bestowed upon NIS by the jury consisting of the representatives of state, science, and professional institutions based on the marks of the marking teams selected from the list of registered business excellence markers under the Foundation for the Culture of Quality and Excellence model.
