NIS supports Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade

Today the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade celebrates 47 years of successful work and over 400 medals won in prestigious international competitions.

What contributed most to the reputation of the Mathematical Grammar School and its recognition both in our country and in the world are the successes its students achieve at school and in university studies in competitions in mathematics, physics, astronomy, astrophysics and information technology. The students of this prestigious grammar school are the very winners in NIS` Olympiads which was held in April and May as a part of the Energy of Knowledge project - Milan Krstajić won the first place in NIS Serbian Physics Olympiad and Maksim Stokić won the first place in the Serbian Mathematics Olympiad. Milan Krstajić, the first place in NIS` Physics Olympiad, silver medal in the International Physics Olympiad.   As a part of the Energy of Knowledge project, NIS supported participation of national teams to the International Olympiads in Mathematics, Psychics and Chemistry this year. Medals were won by the following students of the Mathematical Grammar School: - in the International Mathematics Olympiad, Mаksim Stokić won the silver medal and Simon Stojković won the bronze medal; - in the International Physics Olympiad, Milаn Krstаjić won the silver medal, whereas Ilijа Burić, Lukа Bojović, Uroš Ristivojević and Ivаn Tаnаsijević won the bronze medal. - In the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad, Ivаn Tаnаsijević and Lukа Bojović won the gold medal. Maksim Stokić, the first place in NIS` Mathematics Olympiad, the silver medal in the International Mathematics Olympiad In July and August, 40 students of the Mathematical Grammar School and NIS spent time together in NIS campus in Bečići, where the participants had an opportunity to advance their knowledge through the lectures of distinguished teachers of mathematics, physics and the Russian language. In order to continue cooperation that had a successful start, NIS and the Mathematical Grammar School signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in August. Next week, NIS is commencing refurbishment and equipping of a classroom in the Mathematical Grammar School – the Energy of Knowledge classroom. NIS Energy of Knowledge team with Serbian Olympians
