The NIS company continues to expand the network of partners among educational institutions in Serbia by establishing cooperation with the Faculties of Law of the Universities of Belgrade and Novi Sad. The Memoranda of Cooperation were signed by Vadim Smirnov, Deputy CEO of NIS, and the Deans of these faculties, Prof. Dr. Zoran Mirković and Prof. Dr. Tatjana Bugarski.
The aim of these Memoranda is to establish the partnerships between NIS and Faculties of Law, aimed at improving scientific, professional and educational work. These agreements specify the exchange of knowledge and experience, organization of guest lectures, participation in joint projects, training courses, training sessions and professional development of NIS employees, student visits, as well as the involvement of the faculty students in the NIS programmes, according to the possibilities and needs of both the company and the faculties.
Vadim Smirnov, Deputy CEO of NIS, emphasized the significance of establishing cooperation with the faculties.
“NIS is developing cooperation with the educational system in Serbia, because in this way we are developing our competencies, motivating our employees and putting effort to keep the best staff in Serbia. The Faculties of Law in Belgrade and Novi Sad are extremely important for NIS, and it is worth noting that 135 of our employees have acquired degrees from these educational institutions, so their expertise is of great significance to the company. I am sure that both the academic community and we as a company will have multiple benefits from this joint cooperation”, Vadim Smirnov said during signing of the Memoranda of Cooperation.
Prof. Dr. Tatjana Bugarski, Dean of the Faculty of Law in Novi Sad, expressed her gratitude to the NIS company.
“The Memorandum is another confirmation that the law and the legal system are the most important sustainable links of any society, not only in terms of its sustainability, but also in terms of future development. We are sure that we will mutually react according to the highest-quality standard and that we will thus greatly contribute to the development of the society”, said Prof. Dr. Tatjana Bugarski.
Prof. Dr. Zoran Mirković, Dean of the Faculty of Law in Belgrade, spoke about the significance of these agreements.
“It is a great pleasure and honour for me personally, and for the educational institution I lead, to sign the Memorandum of Cooperation with one of the most significant companies in Serbia. I am sure that this cooperation will be to our mutual satisfaction”, said Prof. Dr. Mirković.
The signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation was also attended by Oksana Kovaleva, Deputy CEO and Director of the Function for Legal and Corporate Affairs of NIS, who on this occasion pointed out the importance of partnerships with legal educational institutions in Belgrade and Novi Sad. It aims at improving legal expertise within the company and engaging highly-qualified staff who will contribute to the future development of NIS.
By signing the Memorandum, NIS and the Faculties of Law in Belgrade and Novi Sad continue their partnership by working on joint projects that will strengthen the ties between the legal profession and the energy sector. The company and the faculties will develop a partnership through the NIS “Energy of Knowledge” programme, which has been implemented since 2012 and within which the company cooperates with educational and scientific institutions in the country and abroad.
So far, the NIS company has established cooperation with more than 30 faculties in our country and abroad. Due to its contribution to the improvement of educational conditions in Serbia, NIS is the first company to receive the prestigious “St. Sava Award” awarded by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia.
